SE8C signaling

I'm running RR & Co gold on my layout and have hooked up an SE8C and have the test mast working properly with the system.  When I replace it with a TMSK and hook a 3 aspect signal to it I only get a red signal and cannot get it to respond like the test mast? Any help would be greatly appreciated.  using NJ International signals and the ones on ebay from China.

Are you signals 3 wire ore two?

You might try plugging the tmks in 180 degrees. Depending on how the ribbon cable is oriented to the connector on the cable can effect the pins.

Note: I was using 3 wire BLMA signals in HO with JMRI with a Digitrax Chief.

Thanks John, my signals are 3 wire and positive ground. I did try reversing the pin connectors with no result.  I've been reading up on common anode and common cathode and I believe i will have to change opsw 5 and opsw8 on the SE8C to make them work, I hope! I know the test mast works right so it must be opposite from my signals as far as cathode or anode.  I will check it out later today on the opsw's .
