With the 1st game of spring training, it’s time to dust off the Oriole train. MTH did very nice cars, but left us hanging when they cancelled the locomotive run. Jeff Stienbacker came to the rescue with a great custom paint scheme for me on the loco and caboose a couple years ago. Lionel picked up the license and added a couple box cars. I added a hopper and helicopter flat car this year.

Yes it is Baseball season, but also last week here on Thursday in S Central PA, we hit 71 degrees and it was time for pitchers and putters to hit the GOLF Course.😁
FORE!!!!!
I like the helicopter car. We'd get to see more of your very cool baseball train if you rotated your phone 90 degrees.
This was one I made...

@FrankRazz posted:Very nice. Would you consider make one for me?
Maybe... But I'll tell you it's not cheap. Just the supplies alone to remove paint, repaint, custom decals, store bought decals, clear coat could be upwards of $50. Then there is the model itself. Then my labor.
If you are truly interested, my email is in my profile.

Baseball season...my favorite time of the year...hope springs eternal for all the teams. Being only a few hours away from Cooperstown came in handy when my team (Atlanta Braves) finally won a series again 2 years ago!
Love the custom made team cars! Great job...a baseball train, what a grat idea!
Years ago MTH was pumping out Pittsburgh stuff left and right. Not just sports but everything tied to the Burg (where I live). Here are the Pirates' cars they made. All Railking.

He He.
All it took was some masking, white and gold spray paint, and some decals I made. I've attached the decals that just need to be printed on clear decal paper for Ink Jet (just print Page 2 as 1 was just for sizing).
It's a good project to do as it is not hard. But if you really want one, I can probably find some time to do it.

Thanks for sharing!
So I figured I would put in stock pictures (not of my train) everything I have for my Cubs train in roughly the correct order when I run it.
Of course, Lionel Berkshire:
MTH Premier 50' Boxcar (can't find a picture on the web of it)
MTH Railking Tank Car:
MTH Railking 1907 Championship Car:
MTH Railking Cubs Car:
Lionel Cubs Car:
Lionel Jersey Cars (2 so I can run them in each direction so you always see both jerseys on one side of the train:
2016 Spring Training Car:
My 2016 Championship Car:
And lastly, the 3-car Passenger Cars:
It makes a nice train!

Hello everyone - Beautiful cars that Lionel made to commemorate Spring Training.I especially liked seeing the custom-built cars that were posted on this thread.
Since we live in the Phoenix area, which is the home of the 15 Cactus League teams, we've already been to two games. It's a great place to be if you're a baseball fan. I'm originally from Denver and would like to find a Colorado Rockies Spring Training car, if Lionel even made one. I haven't been able to find one on-line to see it and to get the catalog number.
Can anyone let me know if such a car was ever made and what its number is? I'd appreciate it. Once I have the info, I can begin a search for one. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Tom
Thanks, Allan,
I found the same info. I thought maybe Lionel had at some point done all of the different teams, but unfortunately they didn't. That's okay - I do have the other Rockies car that MTH RailKing did a few years ago - #30-74214. It's very nice. Still a fun thread and thanks to all who posted their cars and engines.
