I am trying to get my M1b's (6-11147) smoke unit lined up, but every time I look down the stack, I see a little bit of the brass (?) ring that extends from the exit hole of the smoke unit (the front part of the unit where the smoke exits the chamber). I pulled up on the unit, which helped, but that seemed to short the smoke unit because it then wouldn't engage the fan. As soon as I pushed back down on it again, to almost level position, the fan would start working again. It seems to be lined up laterally.
Any tips from the experts out there?
