Last nite on PBS was an episode of this series focusing on the deaths in 1832 of 57 Irish immigrant railroad workers that occurred in less than a three month span upon their arrival at the work site.  The work consisted of creating a one mile section of the later to become Pennsylvania Railroads "Duffy's Cut"(about 30 miles west of Philly). interspersed throughout the show were runbys of Amtrak and SETPA trains on the nearby tracks.

For more info on the Duffy's Cut happenings, Google it.  You will find out that Cholera wasn't the only reason for their deaths.
