I'm probably clutching straws here since I don't recall the manufacturer names for some items I had as a kid circa 1962. The HO vacuform 4X4 layout was prefab and had a loop over loop configuration. I recall it had at least one re-railer straight section on it. There were no switches or sidings. It was painted landscaping with a mountain and tunnel(s), but no buildings.
The train set included PRR tuscan F unit(s). I don't recall if it was AA, or AB, but pretty sure it wasn't ABA. The powered unit had rubber band drives. I recall one car had a silver plane with detached wings as a load. Another car had a helicopter (non-operating) load.
I have no idea of the make, and am only assuming the train came as a set. I very much doubt the cars were purchased separately.
I haven't had much luck with googling results so I thought I'd try out the HONGZ forum.
This was my first HO set which followed my American Flyer set. I'm just trying to reminisce.
Thanks,
Rich
