I've been away from model railroading for about 10 years and just now getting back into it. A lot of that time has been spent on my Electra Glide (Sturgis, Ride to the Wall, etc.), as well as doing a lot of audio upgrades, a custom paint project, etc.) It has also meant getting to know the local dealership's owner and general manager very well.
With all the H-D model train product that's been introduced, I'd like to know if you have seen layouts in any H-D dealerships.
Also, have you seen H-D model train products sold in dealerships? H-D licenses a lot of products, many of which are sold in the dealerships--golf bags, children's furniture, jewelry, watches, etc.)--so it wouldn't be farfetched if H-D model trainsets were sold there as well.
Doing a Christmas-time display, or stocking H-D sets, is something my local dealership's owner and general manager might consider. I'd like to have some third party information from those on OGR who know what H-D dealerships do or don't do.
