I have never sold any items before but I have a couple items I would like to part with. I am a member of the LCCA and see that they have listings on their eTrack site. Is this a good way to sell or should I go the eBay route? Thanks!

There are more than just two options - HERE is a very popular one among forum members!

One, there are NO fees for using the Track Exchange, and its on the LCCA website as well. I've bought and sold on there with no problems at all.. Bob
sellers take all the risk on the bay.
use the lcca or here.
I buy and sell on the forum and e-track.....have no problems with either.I recommend them both.....
LCCA e-track works well. Unlike on-line forums, some LCCA selling is conducted over the phone rather than by email because many sellers don't provide their email address in the listings. So it can take a bit of patience to connect with people. I would recommend putting your email address in your profile.
Thanks for all of the input!
LCCA's e-Track is viewed by club members as collectors and operators who favor Lionel trains. They generally have a greater awareness and value of hobby products made by "Big L" than most e-Bayers, so they tend to respect a reasonable asking price. E-Track requires an asking price in the listing; it's not an auction-type environment. I've used e-Track several times as a seller and received better sale prices for products as compared to e-Bay listings.

LCCA E-Track is a great benefit that is totally FREE with your LCCA membership. I really love it. You will also receive the printed magazine which makes great EZ chair reading. LCCA people won't sell you "junk" .. there is a high level of expectation that you really have what you offer. There is a way to escalate issues in case of fraud which rarely (!) happens. I have used E-bay also but is it not as easy or fun as it used to be. The search engine has changed .. fees are also higher for sellers. The net result is there is really less to look for on the E-bay web site as there used to be. I am devoted to the LCCA / Have been known to write material for the Lions Roars magazine and I have cultivated many wonderful relations with train folk I have only met online. Time time to sell ( and buy) by E-track. Come to the LCCA meetings which always have great product at fair prices. Blessings.
Using the E-track will limit your sales to LCCA members. I guess that can be viewed as good or bad, depending on your perspective.
