What is the Best way to shut down the Sensor Track Temporarily for a short time ( and not lose the programmed program ) .  And be able to bring it back on line with the same Program!

FREDSTRAINS

I'm not sure what you are asking but programming it to action zero will stop it from running any of the preprogrammed scenarios.

or maybe this...

SLEEP One SensorTrack
Press and hold PROGRAM and RECORD for 2 seconds.
Both LEDs flicker and go off when buttons are released.
This SensorTrack will:
• no longer play preset actions or user recordings when locomotives roll-over,
• terminate a currently playing user recording,
• exit record-armed or program mode if active.

SLEEP ALL SensorTracks
Press CAB buttons ACC, 99, AUX1, 0

Wake One SensorTrack
Press and hold PROGRAM and RECORD for 2 seconds.
Both LEDs turn on until buttons are released.
When you WAKE a SensorTrack, all normal operation is restored, but activities interrupted by
SLEEP are not resumed—they must be re-triggered.

Wake ALL SensorTracks
Press CAB buttons ACC, 99, AUX1, 1

Very simply:  Because my Layout is relatively Small,  sometimes the Horn Blowing for the Xing Signal ( which I have it programmed for ) gets a little annoying!  ( for some Guests) .  What is a simple way of shutting it down, just temporarily ( without losing my preprogrammed) info, (Grade Xing Horn Blowing ). ?

PS.    A ACTION THAT HAPPENS FROM ESCH DIRECTION !!!

When you say "the programmed program" what are you referring to?   A recording? or just the Action that happens from each direction?

Sean,  VERY SIMPLY:

I just want to SHUT it off and back onto the same Recording ( 2 LONGS, 1 SHORT, and 1 LONG Blast of the Engines Horn )  after a short period of time.  I don't want to Reprogram it every time I shut it down!   Used in a rather small Layout your friends get tired of hearing it.  Should I just cover up the INFRA RED Readers on the Unit?  And if I do, with what?

Thats fine!  What do i do to turn my Recorded Action back on?  OR do I have to RECORD it all over again?.

I posted the entire manual page about sleeping a sensor track and waking it back up in the thread earlier on it's straight from the manual.  It's a sleep action.  Basically shutting down the sensor track.  When you "wake it up" it will be ready to go.  Recordings and all.  The manual is very thorough. Go back and find my post.

Thanks Marty, I will.  AND I will look it up in my Manual as well!  I just thpught there was a quick and easy  way to accomplish what I was after!  Seem as though we live in a different environment now days ! I was over at a friends House yesterday and running Trains 🚂 on his Layout!  He was running an Engine from the sixties !  Forgot what the “OZONE” smelled like in those days ! He said see,  hands off ( as he removed-his hands from his “Z” Transformer) LOL

I just recently wired one of his loops to “TMCC”!  He had the Base and CAB1 stored away for over 20 Yrars

TMCC was great, so easy and fun to play with.  It seems ridiculous to me how complicated Lionel made how to run a model train layout.  Once it was all Legacy I bailed, no thanks, took all the fun out of it.  What was the point of making you buy a Base 3, it seems more trouble than it's worth for sure.  I have no desire to run my model train layout with my phone, the Cab1 is/was the perfect blend of technology and ease of use.  I wouldn't use a Base3/Cab 3 if you gave it to me, seems like a waste of money and a whole mess of aggravation.  No thanks.

Good luck!

Good Morning Marty,

I completed the upgrade to the CAB3 & BASE3 with Flying colors.  Thank GOD for your VIDEO!!

I tried the Procedure on the SENSOR TRACK above & it was exactly what I waslooking for.  I should have looked in the MANUAL.  It works great!!!   Just what I was looking for.  My next Challenge will be the DOWNLOADING of the "B3SU"!

Thanks again,

FRED
