Here is all the video I took of day 1 at Trainfest of our SGMA layout. The layout was 28'x40' if I recall correctly. Be warned this footage is everything that I shot on day 1 and is unedited. I hope to post a few edited compilations at a later date but I thought I'd get the unedited stuff up in case you guys didn't want to wait.

Thanks, hope you enjoy,

What's the black 4-6-4 pulling the circus train toward the end of the video?

hojack,

It not only looks, but was a lot of fun for everyone!  It truly was a real SGMA team effort that yielded great result!

As for the black steamer, it's a modern era Standard Gauge locomotive, which was made by Harmon and sold in kit as a New York Central Hudson,  I customized it into a Milwaukee Road "Baltic".  It's huge, it's heavy, and it can pull a ton of cars.

Clem and "Stomper", standby!  Bob's Baltic is now in town and looking for some fresh meat!

Really enjoyed the layout! It is amazing the amount and variation of items being run in a day. Thanks for posting the videos John.  Bob, I asked you about the Milwaukee Road Baltic but it was still in the box early Saturday. I can't believe I missed seeing it. Dad and I made several trips back to the SGMA layout. I did manage to see that wonderful Richart Bipolar and those great circus cars. Great job again SGMA, look forward to Trainfest next year.

John,

You indicate above that you were going to edit and repost your videos from Trainfest 2013.  Did you ever finish editing your videos?

If you did, how about posting new links to them here so that they can serve as additional motivation for every tinplate and/or Standard Gauge enthusiast who is still considering whether or not he/she should attend Trainfest this year!

Lastly, as you know SGMA will again be back at Trainfest in 2014 erecting and operating another of our award winning Standard Gauge modular layouts.  Needless to say, we all look forward to viewing your videos of SGMA at Trainfest 2014.  I am sure they will be equally spectacular and may be even better than your Trainfest 2012 and 2013 videos!

Bob
