Here is a video & some photos I took this late afternoon east of Perry Ohio of new shiny / clean CSX Operation Lifesaver SD70MACe #4568 trailing 2nd on CSX westbound intermodal I157. This unit looks very sharp. I do definitely hope Lionel or MTH paints this scheme on one of their SD70MAC's.

Side note:  To anyone who is curious as to why their is a railroad crossing with just flashers and no gates is because this side of the track is between 2 mainlines. The CSX Erie West Subdivision in the video & photos and behind is the NS Lake Erie District about 100+ feet behind me.

As a certified Operation Lifesaver presenter and soon to be RI coordinator - I thank you for sharing that image.

Even with all the safety measures in place, approximately every 95 minutes in the US a train makes contact with either a person or a vehicle. We have had three fatalities in the last 2 weeks on the NE Corridor between New Haven and Providence.

I don't know how the engineers and conductors who watch this unfold in front of their eyes deal with it afterwards.
