That got your attention-huh. I have these two MTH doodlebugs that needed passengers and while the dummy passenger unit wasn't so difficult, the powered combine was.
Started out with the semi loaded tray from my other passenger dummy unit since it's going to be resided as a double door baggage with no people...so I'm putting that tray in this one. These folks were RMTs peeps that got "halved" at the waist to sit in the chairs decently- you can't see any feet in this manner thru the windows and that's a good thing on multiple aspects.
Next up was the fun one, the combine and anyone who has one of these knows there's scarcely more than a 1/4" worth of seating room on each side due to the inner walls covering the front motor and electronics..let me show you how I got around that.
"Halve" these folks at the waistline the same as earlier, then halve them again for mirror images. Now, one person is two passengers- one for each side....short, thin, freaky people! And yes, some of these people are beside themselves today...and no, full ticket rates today- we've got revenue to recoupe..{there- we got that out of the way }
Next up was the engineers on each end...chopped the legs at the knees so they wouldn't hit the frame...and they would have....then trimmed their backs to sit flat and glued them in at a decent window height. I then added a guy in both the baggage door windows..just because.
Later on when the glue is dry -btw, I'm using gorilla glue- I will trim and touch up any shaved arms that need paint...if they're seen thru the window{s}.
So, there you halve it.....folks.
