Awesome, magnificent and beautiful trains, scenery and layout in every way!
The wide openess of the layout shows off the seemingly endless length of the 100+ car freight train pulled seemingly effortlessly by the locomotives.
Thanks for sharing this. Arnold
This is a great thread. Because of elevation changes on my layout, I can't run trains much more than 20 cars. I do the love longer trains.
Finally found this video. It is a RF&P ABBA E8 with 7 passenger cars. It takes up about 45% of my layout loop so it is as big as I like to go. Alongside is a RF&P Hudson (ralking) with 5 passenger cars, older generation of course. Let's see if the file format from this video camera works.

Very nice but it would be easier to see the details on the trains in full light.

Les, I was comparing night running shots (which I like a lot) and camera settings when I made that video. Here is one I made during daylight- same two locomotives.

Very nice, Thanks! And not to hijack this thread but I wonder how many of us know what FUBARR (fubar) really means?

glad to see nice broad curves.
Thank you
Here's a PFE Reefer Unit Train being pulled by the Lionel Vision Line Bigboy #4012 at the NJ Hi-Railers Public Show on 1/22.
The longest train currently running on the WVRR is a unit train of 12 Lionel Chemical tank cars, a postwar GP9 and a caboose. (both the engine and caboose ae my custom paints).
The longest train ever to run on the WVRR was 16 liquor reefers headed by a postwar Southern F3 A-B-A combination and a caboose.
The heaviest had to be 12 6414 Autoloaders and a caboose pulled by a postwar Virginian FM.
I like the look of long "unit" trains.

I saw some Tropicana cars I did not know existed....!
I only like to run around 20 cars max. If I keep the camera angle low and run the trains at a slower speed, they seem longer.
