Old 4935.  Taken TODAY at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, Strasburg, PA.  Had a ride on N&W 475 as well.  A good day.

 

Inside the cab of 4935.  Looks like a very good restoration job.

 

 

They get a bit dusty here, but have to say we say a crew working on cleaning all of the displays.  I have more pics of other items if folks are interested.  May take a day or so to clean them up and get some posted here or somewhere.

Hi Sal, Tom was from Baltimore. He was a retired B&O railroader. He and I became friends as volunteers at the B&O Railroad Museum. He was a truly fine man. He passed away quietly in his sleep some years ago. Bill

Here are some of my shots of Amtrak GG1s in South Amboy shuttle service. Even though these were not Amtrak trains, AMTK locomotives sometimes drew these assignments instead of the usual NJDOT owned locomotives. Similarly, NJDOT motors were occasionally operated on Amtrak trains.

Great shots from the Orangeville engine terminal in Baltimore.If I knew how to post Kodachrome slides to website I could add quite a few GG1 shots from the Baltimore area.Spent many days at Orangeville during my teen years and even got to"hostle a few G's in the yard there

MSW7/663:  If you don't have access to a scanner that does slides, I think you can take your slides to a Ritz or similar camera store and they will scan them to a CD. Or, there are mail-order shops as well. I used www.digmypics.com with very good results.
