I love trains and sports. I would enjoy seeing any sports related scenes on your layouts for inspiration. Please post some pictures!

I am waiting for the All Star Boxcar this year from LIONEL if they make it. I'm a Padres fan, hopefully they do.
Nice boxcars! I'm a Pitt fan. I REALLY miss the Pitt versus Villanova/UConn Big East basketball games. Those games were intense.....

This is the only sports related car on my layout (and one of the few cars that never spends time on the shelf). When I was a young kid in western NY in the late 50s and 60s I used to listen to Chicago Black Hawks hockey games on my little "AM transistor radio" late at night (I think the name of the station out of Chicago was WGN). I quickly became a huge fan of Bobby Hull (and adopted his #9 when I played left wing in HS and college). Later, when Buffalo got an NHL franchise, I jumped on the Sabres French Connection bandwagon, especially cheering on Gilbert Perreault. When I was at the Syracuse show several years ago, I found the Lionel flatcar with 2 Zambonis on it, and knew that I had to have it. Needless to say, there was never any doubt what logos I was going to put on top of the 2 machines.

Go Nittany Lions! Also have a couple of Steelers cars but no pics
I am not sure whether this counts as a Sports Theme, but during the 2012 Summer Olympics I was adding scenery details to my new layout. One of the several sports I was following was archery, and I decided to add an archery range and some archers to my layout.

What is the Lionel product number on that flatcar? as a huge Blackhawks fan I would love to find one.

I'm not sure I'm allowed to like this post as a Pitt fan! But since you have some Steeler trains I'll make an exception! LOL

Let's add my Redmen to the loss of great rivalries.
Check out Thom's Custom Steeler Train on YouTube.

I'm a Phillies fan and will be at our home opener on April 11th which just happens to be against your Padres this year. Going to opening day is a tradition in my family. My dad would always find a way to take my brother and I as kids. When my son was 6 I began to continue the tradition with him. My son will be 14 when the season begins this year and this will be the 6th year that me, my son, my brother and my dad will attend opening day. Obviously, its a sentimental day for me each year.
Good luck with the season this year for your Padres. If your ever in Philly or I'm in SD I'd be more than happy to attend a game with you and talk baseball and trains.

Well, mine is a little different. I built this OGR kit to put on my layout (which is currently disassembled) for my wife, who loves to bake, and is also a lifelong Kansas Jayhawks fan. I stumbled across this printable sign on a website one day (and by all accounts it was a real business), and knew I had to find a spot for on this building.
I'm partial to my Ohio State Buckeyes, but for my wife, Rock Chalk Jayhawk...

I have that Lionel Penn State box car posted above but out of respect for Panther97, I won’t post any of my other six Penn State cars. But here’s a Pitt car from this Penn State Grad (who also has a degree from Pitt). And speaking of Pitt vs. Penn State, after 16 years, the rivalry gets renewed on September 10th at Heinz Field!
For all yinz Steeler fans, I posted a video on Super Bowl Sunday earlier this month of my Steelers Super Bowl train featuring a box car decorated for each of the Steelers SIX Super Bowl championships and the Chuck Noll (A perfect 4-0 record Coaching Super Bowl games) Hot Metal car but the post was removed. If anyone wants to see it, send me an email.
But here’s a few other Steeler train item photos (both of those streetcars were obtained from OGR Forum members). In addition here are some Pirate cars not already posted including one for the Great One (Roberto Clemente) and a special one for the Yankee fans – Maz’s 1960 World Series Winning Walk-off Home Run!

Awesome! I'll let you in on a secret. After graduating from Pitt I moved to State College and worked for Penn State. I haven't lived there in 12 years. I can't wait until they play next year!

This is the Packer train that I bought each of my sons
Packer train start up
This is a not so great picture of the "Green Bay Packers" passenger cars I made for one of my son's MTH Packer Train.

My son (rightly so) thought that you wouldn't send a team train with equipment, you would send a train to bring fans to the game. I took some old baby Madison cars and painted them official GBP green and gold, and then decaled the cars. The cars are numbered for all the retired Packer numbers 15, 66, 92, but Bret's number 4 hadn't been retired yet, so that car is missing.
