Is there a proper or better way to shut down DCS layout at end of session? Remote first or power first ?

Not sure it really matters. I've done it both ways I'm sure.

It makes no difference at all.
My habit is to power-on the layout, including TIUs, and then the remote. At the end of a session, I power-off remotes and then the layout.
The entire layout powers on and off with a single button press of a wireless AC switch.

For what it's worth, we have ONE main power switch. We kill it. We turn off the remotes. No issue. In starting, we reverse the process.
Doesn't make any difference. Note that when you use the E-stop button, you're tuening off (to reset) and repowering the DCS system with remotes on. When a remote times out, you're doing the opposite.
