Hello Everyone,

I have an MTH PS-2 Premier ABA F7 set (20-2741-1).  The slave A unit is locked in its forward direction.  It will not reverse.  When I tell the master A to go forward, the slave A unit is locked and will not move (the master A just spins its wheels trying to pull the locked slave.  When I tell the master A to reverse, the slave unit runs fine, and leads the consist.  The cab light, head and Mars lights in the slave respond to commands in both directions, but the wheels of the slave

The master A unit works fine and responds to all commands through the handheld and TIU.  I have done engine and feature resets and even a TIU reset, and even looked for anything stuck in the gears of the loco.  I called MTH.  The technician said it could be a bad slave board or a broken wire that controls the direction.  Yet, as I said, the slave's head lights, cab light all respond to a change in either direction.  Plus, there is little run time on the loco, and I have never removed the shells for any reason.  Battery seems OK, and the sounds are good.  Everything seems to be OK except the slave will not reverse.

Any thoughts?  Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Marty -- Thank you very much for all your help.  I unplugged all the connections to the slave board and re-plugged.  No luck.  The slave does not move under conventional power.  I called MTH about a new slave board but have not heard back.  I think it is time to have it looked at by someone who is not a rookie like me.  Thank you again.
