I saw a quick blurb about such a place. Anyone know of it? Or, did I misunderstand?

Somewhere near the curve. Guests .... railfans ....sit on the motel's front porch and watch the mainline trains go by. Very small motel or cheap B&B ... maybe a converted house or something?

Thanks

Jim

One I read about is called the The Station Inn.  It is about 10 miles from Horseshoe, however, but has a porch that faces the old PRR main line.

i have been bunk'en down at the station  inn since the 1980s.tom has a 1st class railfan hotel for sure.there is no tv or a.c. in the rooms, but even in the summer ,it cools off pretty good at night  being on top the hill . the inn serves breakfast in the morning to the guests in a huge dining room that does have tv. staion inn is a railfans place to stay. if you have to pamper yourself/girlfriend/wife/etc: then you would want to stay at tunnel inn in gallitzin-jim
