Could anyone please tell me what is the small revolving circle at the very top right hand side of the screen of the cab2 legacy remote (the battery charge status is always at the top left-hand side). Sometime this small revolving circle appears and when it does, I am not able to get my locomotives to move. After several attempts, removing the batteries from the cab2 while the system was powered and then reinstalling them made the small circle disappear and the locomotives now move.

I think this is the icon that shows the Cab 2 is transmitting a command.

It sounds like handheld to base communication issues, however usually theres a red light on the handheld that would flash indicating this.
Try changing the channel on the handheld and base. They need to be set to the same channel. The higher channels tend to work better. There are instructions on how to do this in the manual.

Nick is correct. If it is doing it without a command button being pressed, there is a defective or stuck button. Or a playback is happening.
this condition often means that the boost brake key is going bad and will have to be replaced. Happened to me, was replaced for free. Try to push the reset button on the back of the cab2 to see if this helps.
