Can't say on a K-Line engine, but I have a number of replacement 27 ohm resistors I bought from Lionel that are used in the smoke units of the SP 2-8-0 and SP 4-4-2 that were cataloged in 2003-2005. Both these engines are equipped with TMCC. Those mechanical smoke units were common for postwar engines. I have a Lionel scale cab forward from 2005 that has been converted to TAS electronics, and the TAS smoke unit in this engine uses a 10 ohm resistor. You might try contacting The Western Depot in Yuba City, CA. 530-673-6776. Western Depot used to carry a very large selection of K-Line products in years past. Also check the ads in Classic Toy Trains and O Gauge Railroading for repair people.
