Hello everyone! I have noticed that the smoke from my Lioncheif Plus Hudson smells like it is burning. I have tried several brands of smoke and multiple smells but they all smell like burning. Anyone know why this is? Could the batting be burning up?

are you using enough smoke fluid when added fluid?
Sounds like the wick material may be burnt. I would change it out for a new piece. You could try Megasteam "Eliminator" fluid which is designed to eliminate bad smells from smoke units which works great unless you really cooked the wick.
Something could ACTUALLY be burning!
It could be my wick, but this loco is 4 months old.... It is likely the fluid i was running before it had a bad smell to it.
If I get a new engine or even used I put Eliminatator in and let it sit over night then do 3 more fills after that and that will usually kill any stink from cheep fluid the manufacture puts in there units at the factory.
yep, what dominc said! Turn the smoke off and observe if the stench remains or dissipates. If it goes away, you need a re-wick. If it does not, you need service.
I will try doing that.
Can you buy the wick matterial online? Or can you just use something like a tiki torch wick?
lots of us use tiki torch wick.

I use tiki torch wick! This might help Garrett!
Thank you! I think I am going to let my smoke unit air out a bit after I replace the wick then buy a bottle of eliminator.
I cant get some of the screws out to replace the wick..
This is extremely late, but I just wanted to thank you all for your help my smoke unit is now fine!
