Smoke Unit Problem?

For the DCS folks, I had an engine today which is a PS3 tinplate. We re-installed the original sound file.

Here is the issue which I just want to confirm that the sound file change had nothing to do with. The smoke motor doesn't seem to be chuffing or running. I CANNOT be sure it did so before so I just want to know if anyone has any reason why a sound file change may have effected the smoke unit fan. The chuffing sound is there.

Marty, what is the engine and what was the reason you needed to put the original file back in for?

If the install was to get the smoke fan motor running, you may just have a bad fan motor. Shut the sound off and listen for the motor.

Someone changed it to passenger sounds last year and then wanted the freight sounds back now. We did lower the sound and have no fan operation. I suspect a bad or and issue with the fan motor but wanted to confirm the sound file change had nothing to do with the failure as we hadn't tested it before the file change.
