So What Do I Do With Lionel Shipping Dates? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I've never pre-ordered an item before. I was looking at Lionel's new catalog offerings at my local dealer's website. How accurate are the listed shipdates? With how big of a grain of salt should I take these delivery dates? I need to make some decisions with my very limited train budget.

I have heard that the GP's are on the water---will be in for May delivery. Mikado's are in, shays should arrive in another month too (baled with Geep's?!)...

I would say the shipping dates are around 90% correct at least with the items I have ordered in the past.

Jim there ship dates are really good. I've purchased 5 Lionel engines

in the last 6 months and all of them were right on target or before the

due date.Ive stopped buying MTH for this reason.Tired of waiting more

than 2 years for an item.

sorry I'm not bashing MTH still like them but was tired of

waiting for years for my orders.
