In over 20 plus years of playing with trains, I have never had any problems with my Altas O 3-rail nickel silver, or LGB G-scale track!!!
Thanks to all for your input. Read all the replies/recommendations. Talked it over with my darling Tom. Mine and Tom's limited time and almost boundless energy is not going to be spent stressing, fussing, and especially fixing new track that should have been working perfectly fine and should be ready to use from the get-go. I'm sending back every speck/piece of the MTH/Lionel new tubular track I purchased.
Placing my order today with USATrack. Tom and I together will build me a wooden roadbed for it to screw it down to.
42 curves, that is what fits with where I can put SG trains in this house.
