Main Central 2-8-0 #501 was moved into the roundhouse in North Conway for . This has been a dream of many to someday see 501 pulling passengers through Crawford Notch. Let's hope the restoration is within the means of the Conway Scenic and it happens.

Sure looks like Lionel got it right.
I can see this being your first Consolidation purchase.
Not sure what they did to it while it was in the shop, but as of three days ago it was parked back to where it has been for the last few years.
It would be a much more useful engine than the switcher they're using now.

They put it in the round house two days ago, to evaluate for restoration. Dennis the owner has always wanted to restore this engine. Now to find out what it will take and how much.
