Some Random Thoughts on Future Railking Products

Well; in terms of things I personally have been hoping for; Railking 30 item number series GP7 in NKP livery and a PRR GP9. Will note here that I prefer the 30 series over 20 series Railking engines as they seem to perform better on my layout for whatever reason.

I finally decided to take matters into my own hands insofar as the NKP GP7 is concerned and am having a 30 series PS3 Railking GP7 custom painted for NKP.  Push comes to shove; I may do the same to get a 30 series Railking PRR GP9.

The RailKing GP7 diesel locomotive can be made in the Nickle Plate Road scheme and Detroit & Toledo Shore Line scheme at the same time. They are very similar in appearance and have NOT been produced as O scale models together.

Which touches on one of my pet peeves in this hobby; one of the train importers offering an engine in a particular road name and not offering an applicable caboose at the same time.  A new engine and a new caboose just go together; sort of like “soup and sandwich”.

Centering the headlight on the smokebox on the 0-8-0 switcher. Why does every headlight have to be mounted high???

To add to this suggestion, why not add a headlight visor to the Berk? It's something so little that can add so much class on any locomotive.

The RailKing steel reefer keeps getting produced, but they have not made it in the Grand Trunk Western schemes from the 1950's and the 1960's.

I would like to see some "Love" shown to the FP45 and C30-7 models. Both could use a scale fuel tank. Grab irons would also be a nice addition.
