I run through the variable channel on the DCS set to allow conventional operation with the handheld. Have noticed some sparking from the loco at times  which seems to increase when the train runs at higher voltage. Using GArgraves track and ross turnouts. Both common rails are jumpered together and connected to the neutral terminal. This is a new DCS set about 3months old. It replaced an earlier DCS set which failed in service. Rollers look clean and track is new although this is the first time that its operated under power.

Any Thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

Since this is a conventional engine that is not going to matter.  Run it with a transformer and see if it sparks?  From my experience this is not a TIU issue, rather a dirty track or dirty engine issue.  Also pickups can have moisture in them, and internal corrosion on the pin.  Causing sparks, even if roller looks fine.  G
