Something to put you in the mood. As if this group needs any motivation.

Last summer I took some of the pictures from our 2013 display and made a
video with the Polar Express suite for the music.  As time progressed I read
a lot of replies that mentioned they liked to sit and watch the trains because
it relaxed them. So on went the light bulb. A second video using Silent Night
as the background music. I think it's a lot better this way. Though I'll still
posted both of them.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching these in full screen mode.

The pictures are hi-res. I will say You Tube did some damage to the quality
when they convert it to flash format, but it's still not to bad.
If for some reason you really like it. Drop me an Email with your address and I'll
send you a disk (free of course ) with the video on it so you can watch it at home.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Merry Christmas Formites.

I remember being impressed with this layout from your post about it last year.  What an amazing building to have a layout.  Walking around that historical site and walking into such a building out of the cold is like something out of a movie.  You are not sitting under harsh fluorescent lighting in a drab building.  For me, the setting just completely adds to the allure of that layout and I would love to see it in person someday.

As to the videos, yes, music adds so much to any Christmas layout video.  I think it helps us all escape even further into the little world that has been created.  Normally I love the actual train sounds as much as the next guy, but in Christmas layouts, I love hearing the music.  It's one of the reasons I believe Emil's layout videos are so well received as well.

Great job and I look forward to the pictures from this year's layout!

Thanks for all the great comments.

Hi Bruce,

     More Snoopy, please!!!!!!!

     Thanks!  Merry Christmas, everyone!

Take care, Joe.

I would expect no other comment from you Joe.

Silent Night is one my favorite Christmas Carols.

Mine also, This one is done by Tommy Emmanuel.

Check him out on You Tube. He has an entire Christmas album.

Towdog you could not me more correct. The building was originally a tinsmith

shop from 1870, It was moved here stone by stone. I just wish it was a little bigger.

( More room for trains that way )

It's not shown, but the picture of the building is taken from the street. A little to the left they have a fire pit going where we go to warm up. One night is was snowing as we were sitting by the fire watching the model A's drive by while honking the horn and

people waving and wishing us a Merry Christmas. It was something I'll never forget.

It's the simple things that make this time of year majical....
