The duct on the hood top brought warm air from the radiator area back to the generator during the winter months. Soo RSC2 & RSC3 were used in the lite rail areas of the Dakota's where fine snow was a problem. All where retrucked to B-B in the early 60's using trucks from retires Baldwin DRS4-4-1500.

Brother-Love is a very talented man.

Soo, you have a very fine model, there.  I do believe the old Alco-GE looks like she's ready to spot and pull elevators night and day, during the next wheat rush.  Start nailing grain doors into the box cars.

 

And, if I had two heads, I'd tip both hats to Brother Love.  Not only did he build you a beautiful model, but his weathering is the most realistic I have ever seen.
