Does anyone use sound deadening(absorbing) material inside their rolling stock to reduce the noise made by the car rolling? Such as small pieces of acoustical tile. John in Lansing, ILL

How bout pink insulation?
I've tried cotton batting, didn't help.
I think the sound I'm hearing is strictly from the wheels rolling on the rails, at least the noise I hear most. About the only thing that seems to help is too run them slower. The anit-fatigue matting I use works on cutting down the noise, but it doesn't eliminate it above the rails.
Maybe we need some bluetooth headphones that play train sounds
I have some electronic shooting ear muffs, gonna see what they do. I can plug a device into it to play sounds (I have an old Sony Walkman and a tape player but no tapes of trains).
Stuffing your rolling stock with foam carpet padding (or anything similar) is bound to help with deadening the sounds your empty car bodies MIGHT make.
And if it doesn't help, then obviously there wasn't any noise problem with your empty rolling stock bodies to begin with.
Be careful you don't use something that will attack plastic or paint.
