Sound just went out on my legacy CAB controller?!

I was operating an engine and the bell and whistle function justwent out... I loaded another locomotive and the same result...?

Are you getting a flashing red light on the controller indicating a signal loss? If so you may need to change channels on the handheld and base. At any rate Lionel has been very good about repairing these beyond the warranty expiration if its not an easy fix.

I am getting flashing reds on the bottom of the base/charger. I switched channels and was able to run, however soon after sound went out...
