Source for EMD switcher railing

They are pipe-type railings with a T-fitting at the top of the stanchions, and they are attached to the top of the side walkways, not the sides.  The photo shows these railings on a B&M SW-1.  I can't seem to find a source for these.  Any ideas? 

your best be is O scale America GP7 type railings. you will have to modify the railing deck attachment yourself. Use piano wire for the actual railings for strength and rigidity.

 

Malcolm, I wonder if tiny brass eyelets (Michaels Arts & Crafts) would work vice making them?

GP7 Parts  Handrails  still not quite right. You would have to modify and add the correct feet.

In the photo of the B&M switcher, posted by the original poster, the vertical stanchions do look exactly like the "GP7 type", i.e. solid round bar stock. The GP-9 and later models had the "U channel type" of vertical stanchions, as still used today.

 

I would simply purchase a GP7 hand railing set/kit, and modify them accordingly. 

Thanks for all the good ideas.  I like the idea of using GP7 stanchions and scratchbuilding the bases.  Probably kind of ridiculous worrying about this, but the deck-mounted railings do seem to have been common on switchers, so would like to get as close as possible.
