New to the forum. I was wondering if there was a high quality early SP caboose available. Possibly in wood. Best I've found is the MTH Premier extended vision in steel. I'm looking for full scale O early wood.

3rd Rail has done a brass C-30 wood caboose in 2 and 3 rail. They lettered it for other roads as well as SP if you are searching for one. Mine came lettered for Santa Fe (what was Scott thinking? !!!). Its been corrected.

chack ebay under k_line, they made an excellent line of Wooden Cabooses. Cant verify for sure if they made on in SP road name

There is a very nice SP caboose in the latest MTH catalog in the Premier line.

Well, the original poster DID state "high quality", thus, the only prototypically CORRECT Southern Pacific caboose models available in 3-Rail O Scale, would be the Sunset/3rd Rail models in brass, offered some years ago. They still show-up on eBay.
Here is the Sunset/3rd Rail wooden S.P. caboose I bought about 8yrs. ago.
