Whoa!
Nice! Will one of these go with an SP AC-9? I've been caboose- less for quite some time.
Yes, in fact those type of cabooses would have been found on any SP freight train, regardless of what type steam locomotive was at the headend.

Which one is mine?
The one that says "Southern Pacific" on the sides, and the one that's not mine.
Well Malcolm said I could have pick of the litter
Tom, Thank you.
Doug, you are right, that is yours
Matt, yours is the one with a piece of masking tape that reads MM inside the roof.
JDaddy, I have another one not pictured. It is painted but no decals yet.
The window are cut with Xacto chisels.
I hope to dullcote them tomorrow but rain/high humidity is in the forecast......not good.
Malcolm
I have one finished (mine) so I could fiddle around with the bars inside cupola windows. Now that I have that figured out I will finish the rest tonight and tomorrow.
Malcolm
Here they are guys (you know who you are). They are ready to ship except for wind deflectors which will be installed in the next hour.
They are pictured in 3R, 3RS, 2R.
Un believable; great craftsmanship.
Absolutely stunning Malcolm! Opening one of these threads to see the final product is like Christmas morning.
Malcolm, you are the master of styrene. Great work and you make it look easy.
Pete
Malcolm, even during the healing process you are most prolific , simply amazing.
Maybe one day I'll throw you an offer to make an ACL Class M3/M4 caboose like one of these, 3-rail of course:
Quite the talent there sir...BZ to you!

WOW! These look great.
Malcolm's S.P. caboose is really something.
J. Daddy your Lionel Post War S.P. caboose is also a beauty, which has all of the bells and whistles:
1-A brown smoke stack;
2-Two ladders;
3-Interrior illumination;
4-Two brake wheels;
5-Two operating magnetic couplers;
6-Two tool boxes;
7-Freight car color and markings.
GREAT!!!!!
Ralph
