So, I'm getting into MTH trains more and more and am starting to realize that the MTH website is next to worthless. On that note, I'm looking for some good MTH dealers/shops that also have some expertise with repairs/spare parts etc.... Because of where I live, I have to do most of the repairs myself but find it troublesome to track down the part numbers and manuals on the MTH website. Where do you guys turn to when ordering parts?

Directly from MtH of course... Esp if you don't have any MTH authorized Repair dealer close by.
The Train Shack in Burbank seems to be able to get parts. I don't know that they sell parts, but it's worth a try. I know they get parts based on my experience working at Milepost 38 Toy Trains.
I'd rather go through a hobby shop if possible.
For ordering parts that is.
Ps.. Genesis, I was on a business trip to LA last year and got a chance to stop by Milepost 38. Love that place.
Pick up a phone and call Midge at MTH. That’s the most efficient way to get what you need.
Thanks all for the help and I'll give Midge a call.

Glad you like it there. I'd definitely call MTH and if that doesn't work, call The Train Shack.
I don't believe Midge works for MTH anymore.
I get mine from GGG on this Forum. Great guy!!!
Say it ain't so, Joe! No Midge?
Oh no, no Midge?
I spoke with Midge at York...I am fairly certain she is still there.

I also spoke with her at York. Just a reference I needed some parts a few months back and she returned my call same day while she was out of office. She does get her mewssages and will do what she can for you. You may also want to contact Marty Fitzhenry here on the OGR forum as he is repairman for both Lionel and MTH

She is still there. I just ordered some traction tires and she emailed me (5/6/18) concerning the order. She is very nice and helpful.

Midge is not only still there but she calls you back. Super nice and helpful. Don
I have only a few MTH items. They published some parts guides a few years ago. Here is the link

Brasseur has MTH parts on line. they are great to deal with.
Got ahold of MTH today. Parts ordered and they will be sending me a paper copy of the original manual!
Ps.. Midge was the lady that placed my order.
I cannot say enough good things about Midge! She always came through for me!
