I have 2 railking diesels (proto 2 with 3volt boards) that have static. I notice it at startup and shutdown. I don't notice it while engine sounds are playing. Track is clean, rollers and wheels are clean. After reading several posts on this forum, I was convinced a bad speaker was the culprit. So I ordered 2 speakers from MTH. Midge took care of me as she always does. I have 30.00 in 2 speakers after paying handling charges and shipping.

I replaced one speaker today and discovered it made no difference. Seems I wasted 30.00. So where do I go from here? I also tried  a feature reset and a factory reset. Any help is appreciated.

Is this a new issue you are seeing on a new to you train, or has it always been there?  I hear this at times on the trains.  You try ensuring wiring is not near speaker, if your using a BCR, try a battery, make sure speaker is firmly mounted, not loose in holder.  After that you can try a sound file reload, but if still there, your going to have to live with it, unless you want to try swapping boards.   G
