Yes,this bit of news has caused quite a stir on some of the other scale's forums.It's caused a lot of "hand wringing", and concerns about the possibilities of prices escillating.
I took the liberty of mentioning that,from the little bit I've observed in S scale so far,it's apparent that stuff can be made in this country, there is a market for these limited run items, and it looks like you S scalers are happy to support such efforts.
I think that's very cool, I said as much, and got no responses. I think they're jealous...
