Outstanding! What a fantastic looking train.
Ditto here!!!! What a fantastic job. The color choices were superb for the Empire State Express! Thanks so much for sharing this.

Agree with Marty above that the red certainly conveys a 'plush' element to them.
Great job Alex...
Great idea and great job Alex! Really makes a big difference.
Fantastic improvements. The difference between model railroading and old toy trains
Alex, They look great. I am not sure if I owned these new cars I would have the stones to do what you did. They really look good
Very nice!! Seeing your handy work has me ready to pop open some of my passenger cars and give them an "Alex"!!
Be careful, Alex... your phone is gonna be ringing off the hook (if it isn't already)!!!
Alex
Great Job, huge difference, looks like you just added another item to your resume of train services.
On my first trip to the HiRailers many years ago, (Ben arranged and club visit), there was a gentleman doing the same thing to a K-Line passenger car.

Excellent ideas and execution ! I had a similar project for the GGD heavies, which will rely on a mostly scratch built interior set. Thanks for the motivation to get it done !
WOW, great Alex! That makes me think I may have to try painting the interiors of some passenger cars, it really adds something to see the interiors with real colors!

Remember, this is the guy that ripped his Vision Line Big Boy apart the day he got it, just to see what was inside!
Simply spectacular work Alex!
Hello everyone and Happy New year !!!!!
JUst finished the last car, which is the combine car, this car has a lot of detail. See pictures and video below
Thanks
Outstanding and great video
That is great work Alex, I have to try painting some car interiors. I know they won't come out like yours, but maybe they'll look a little less bland.
Alex,
Great video, the colors really make the cars pop. Have a great New Year.

Keeps getting better
Alex looks great with the upgrade to the passenger cars!
Really nice work! Makes the cars so much better.
Great job. Thanks for the inspiration
As always another great job Alex. I have changed a few of the interiors of my passenger cars with mostly the addition of people and a little painting at times. You have taken the interior modifications to the highest level and it certainly paid off.
Thanks Alex for the pics and video. Those cars look great. You inspired me to go for it. The cars came apart fairly smooth if only mine can come out looking as good as yours. Thanks again
Thank you all for the very nice comments!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Alex
Sorry for the delayed post, but very nice! Definitely going to do similar for my set.
Just curious - do you (or anyone else) have actual interior photos of the prototype ESE cars? All I could find were a couple of print ad drawings shown briefly in a historical video on YouTube. Hoping they're not the real colors, as the scheme was hideous. I like yours much better & will do similar if all else fails. Thanks.
Really nice Alex
Clem
Alex---really looks nice. Great project with outstanding results.
Thanks for the reminder I really need to figure out how to add people to some of my passenger cars so they don't look so lonely!

I have the older ESE 18 aluminum cars , I used those cars as my prototype.
Thank you all for the kind comments
Alex
Now thats a nice interior. we should have to do that on those cars we pay plently on them
Alex,
This is my next project on my PA Passenger cars.
I have 16 to do so it will be a cold weather day project for me to start.
Can you tell me the color you used to spray the interiors before adding the figures. And I like that you did not spray all of it for contrast.
Thanks in advance for the info
Brian
Very nice ALEX. Where did you get the porcelain toilets? And sinks?
Alex,
I really like it, congrats on a real nice job!

Hi Brian,
Here's the list of colors i used
The base coat (RED) is Rust-o-leum Heritage red sprayed from a rattle can.
The rest of the colors are latex based mixed at Home Depot and were applied by brush
1 Flat white
2 flat brown
3 flat grey
4 the beige (Latex) color is copied from a rattle can color called Rust-o-leum camouflage Khaki
Hope this helps,
Alex

Alex, I'm packing all my passenger cars up and having them trucked up to you. Clean out a space for the pallet. I love the look of those, very nice work!
Nice work !! If only the real ones had been that nice and clean.
Very nice work on the interiors. That sure makes a very big difference!!! Nice job Lad.
But, I have to ask...these are the new windows on the 21" cars, correct?
If so, Lionel needs to go back to the drawing board!
