I am refurbishing a Lionel 3462 milk car with the metal doors. Can anyone shed some light on how to install the springs on the doors. I have the kit which contains two springs, two doors, hinge pins and frame for the shell.
Any help or clip (Youtube) on how this feat is accomplished would greatly be appreciated.

Interesting - your pins seem too short - looks like they maybe for the top door... Only anticipate cosmetic side effects thought
I too, thought the pins were to short. But they came in the kit and matched the length of older ones. Hmmm. Installation? Door reversal? They work ok.
