I was reading some articles about renovating Union Station as a transit center and cleaning up that street block. Does anyone know if that includes modernizing the platform arrangement at track level (its a mix of used platforms and run-down closed platforms) and relocating Amtrak facilities into the main union station building ... hence tearing down the ugly Amtrak waiting area?

if like depot in St.Paul,Mn they did extensive platform remodel including replacing all the old passenger platforms.
I would watch and see if a web site pops up with updates and pictures as remodel goes forward.

Yes, the long delayed way over budget project will do all that. They keep throwing money at it and nothing seems to get done.
