There seems to be some myth that you need a "special" switch of some sort to carry the DCS signal.

I have used regular SPDT and DPDT toggle switches, 12 position rotary switches, and the Atlas 205 4 pole A-B switches with good success with DCS, with Rev I TIU's.

 

I don't think you need to go out of your way. Pick a decent switch from your local electrical jobber, or Digikey or Mouser, and you should be just fine.

Someone asked recently if a knife switch would work with DCS.

I have not tried this, but there is no reason it would not work that I can see.

Do yourself a favor and stay clear from Radio Shack switches. 

FYI, there are Radio Shack switches and there are better Radio Shack switches. My layout uses a lot of toggle switches and approx. 90% of them are from Radio Shack. DCS signal strength is just fine.

 

In the past 8 years I've found one toggle that degraded the DCS signal, and it was not from Radio Shack.
