I finished the last car for my B&M ballast train (although they're not all B&M cars).
It consists of a junker #38, 3 116 ballast cars and a modified 117 caboose. It looks good and since I added a traction tire to the #38 it runs great.

Question: on painting the ballast cars did you disassemble the dumping mechanism or just paint it in place (painting the bottom first keeping the doors open then the top/sides. Reason is that I have a junker to paint that I picked up.

I painted them assembled and just let the doors flap around as I painted.

The large NH logo came from an old Walthers caboose decal set.
