I had the good fortune this afternoon to buy some standard gauge passenger cars - two 319's and a 320. In the box with them were dozens of pieces of standard gauge track. Some of this track does not look Lionel - it has small square ties. Anyone know what this is ?

The switch looks to be Lionel open plate manual switch.
The cross over center piece is reminiscent of an Ives design, but the rest f the piece doesn't add up with what I've seen.
I've glanced through the Toy Train Track Museum, but haven't found anything quite like your examples. When visiting, be sure to cover the whole navigation menu subheadings

Hard to tell as I'm only viewing this on my phone, but does the centre rail have a half pin both ends? Looks like it might, if it has, it's very early Lionel standard gauge track.
Amazing how these things survive!
Looked through e-bay STD gauge track listings. There is a similar switch listed as Flyer wide gauge. Other cross overs that a similar in look but no name listed. A fair guess would be Flyer Wide Gauge for everything.
