Arlington Yrd in Staten Island

That's a pretty small yard. Good to see it's still being used. Is it located on the North shore?
Sixty years ago this was an enormous yard, mostly abandoned, with a turning wye, and pipes from the ground for steam lines for ww2 hospital trains.
Glad to see some action there again. I hope they restore the line to St. George linking the entire Island again with rail service.
Here are some old 1960's Arlington photos from my photo site. I think the yard was about 60 tracks across back in the day. https://steves3roscale.shutterfly.com/pictures/5177

Big changes since I was there with NYS&W in 86'. The engine house was still there but most of the tracks were gone. Glad to see a come back.

Picky, picky! <g>
Not going to link up with St George any time soon. The railbed has eroded to the point that significant fill would have to take place to make it whole again. Try to put dirt in the water and the environmentalists (all three of them) emerge and start a law suit. Last time I was there and that was just after Sandy, some rails were twisted and hanging in the air.
