Yea that was crazy. I thought that was a video glitch for a second.
No brakes on the "wagons"?
Thanks for posting that Gary!
Now that was pretty cool!
My heart goes out to many of the former Eastern Bloc countries. There are good people in every country, Bosnia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and many others. Good people but sometimes their leadership isn't, thus they really have it rough over there at times.

They are presumably equipped with brakes. However, it would seem that either none (or not enough) of the cars have their air brakes cut in. American switchmen are reluctant to switch with air brakes cut in, as it does make things more difficult if individual cars are being cut off and allowed to roll into a track, but they will couple up the air on a few cars next to the engine when very heavy cars are being switched, as it appears to be the case here. European hook and link couplers don't make switching easy. It looks to me like they should have cut in the air brakes on enough cars so that the Driver could get the cut stopped. That sliding stop with the engine drive wheels is really bad railroading.
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing. I really liked that huge coaling tower. It very loudly spoke Eastern European in its architecture.
