What steam is operating in PA and NJ this summer? As far as I’m aware only Strasburg, Everett #11, and BR&W #60. New Hope 40 is not running again, until the fall or December, 425 not until September, 113 December, Phillipsburg 142 is not running I heard, the Kutztown steam was canceled. I just checked NYSW’s web site and it appears 142 is running in Pburg, I thought it was down for repairs.

Don’t forget the little PRR 643 out near Harrisburg. I believe she is running this season. Also, you have the Steam Into History’s number 17. If you can venture to Delaware, there is an 0-6-0 number 58 built back in 1907 operating on the Wilmington and Western RR. FYI Strasburg 475 is down for 1472 and the two operating are 89 and 90.
PRR 0-6-0 643 is at the Williams Grove RR, near Mechanicsburg, PA. It uses about 1 mile of track through a large park, a portion was part of the PRR Dillsburg branch. The line ends next to the NS X-RDG Lurgan line from Harrisburg to Hagerstown,MD.

Oh last I heard she was down until 2019. Guess this was false information. Sorry for the confusion on my end.
I will be in southern NJ starting the 21st for a week. I will be riding the BR&W #60 on the 21st . After that we want to chase it a bit and photograph it . Is it an easy line to chase? Any good spots I need to be at for the best photos.

At BRW, we have #60 scheduled to run July 21st and 22nd. Bowne Station Local's will also be available that day.

A fairly easy RR to chase. Leaving Flemington you'll have (In order)
Dayton Road- Road goes under rails with a small gravel lot off to the side you could park in.
Johanna Farms Rd
Hampton Corner Rd
Copper Hill Rd
Everitts Rd
Toad Ln
John Ringo Rd (Which is the underpass right at the entrance of Ringoes yard)
NJ Route 202 parallels the railroad for a good portion and a majority of these roads can be accessed from 202.
Hope you enjoy your trip, might be a car attendant on one of our CNJ cars. Idk need to see if they need me that weekend.
