trying to run a MTH combo of head end Hudson with a Mohawk bringing up the rear. The issue I'm having is with the coupler on front of the Mohawk, it's so rigid (no play left or right) it's pulling the Hudson rear tender truck off the rails. Even though it's running on 0-72 curves.
anythoughts, solutions?

The only thing I can think of, is to extend the coupler out with a couple of small pieces of brass.

That's my thought, extend the shaft and give it a pivot point.
That little front coupler on the Lionel Mohawk works perfect with Kadee couplers, thats what I use.
