Infantry, Anti-aircraft units and a menacing looking Armored train protect a strategic bridge in the UTS (United Tinplate States) composed of member states Lionelville, Marxland, Ameriflyer and New MTHland.

I also enjoy the armored set - glad it was reissued. Now I wish they would make the set in standard gauge - that would be awesome!

Lv4Trains,
Oh yes! A standard gauge armored set would be awesome.

Might look for one at York. Had one in hand in Oct. and put it down.
okhiker,
I would really like to see a post or OGR article on your layout. Looks super COOL!

Thanks for the compliment pittsburghrailfan but my little all tinplate O gauge layout is so small and basic I hardly think anyone would be interested in it.
Heck I would be interested! I'd love to see more pictures! Im into trains for the toy aspect.
Thanks!

Looks nice. Love to see some more pictures.
Thanks for posting. I think it looks great. I'm really tempted to pull the trigger on a set.
I would love to see more pics,

Thanks for the favorable comments. I just put this together about a week ago and initially intended for it to be used for clockwork engines but then decided to make it electrical so I could run both. Its very small, only 3x4, because its all the room I have left after taking up a lot of basement space with an O Gauge layout and a separate S gauge layout. Not much elbow room left in my man cave. In any event here a few more photos of my United Tinplate States layout being guarded by UTS forces.

No markings. The original has no markings and this little set is a very good copy (less the Philips head screw in the turret) of an original Lionel No. 214 outfit. That's its charm.

Agreed. A very cool set. I passed on this when it was released last year, but have always kept it near the top of my tentative “to buy” list. I think I’d like it in the green version.

Thanks Bob. I'm kind of glad it has no markings.I can leave it to my imaginaition as to what branch I want to represent.
DITTO to your thread title!
Always wanted one of these since my childhood days in the Lionel Showroom on 26th St. in Manhattan in 1952.
Not an armoured train, but part of a temporary layout I displayed five years ago.
