Still waiting for Atlas Zephyrs... right?

Correct.  The last container shipping report for late November 2014 didn't include the CZ observation and sleeper cars.  

 

So it's safe to assume we won't see them until 2015 now.  Patience can be a virtue in this hobby.

Atlas O web site still shows estimated shipping 4th Qtr 2014.

 

From a google search weeks ago: Silver Sky line drawing attached.  (Meant to put the drawing in the body of this reply; clicked the wrong button, apparently.)

 

Unfortunately, that means nothing.  Considering the time it takes containers to arrive here in the States from China... then account for Atlas-O shipping them out to dealers... then dealers shipping them to consumers.  Even a late December container shipment from China won't put them in our hands until 1Q2015 at the earliest.  

 

The latest container report for an Atlas-O shipment out of China on 11/17/2014 only listed 2 Master Line products (Trinity Hoppers and AAR Boxcars) along with 2 Trainman products (stock cars and single-sheath boxcars).  No CZ items.  

 

That container would have been the last hope for a 4Q2014 arrival of the new CZ cars.  Just keeping it real, folks.

 I missed the Pre-order... did not know there was such a thing for these.

But hope to get and observation car when they get here.

 

Atlas-O's strategy for these has been somewhat "stealth".  They preview them at October York, but don't actually follow up with an official announcement until January.  They did that with the observation/sleeper combo, and it looks like they're doing the same thing with the baggage/buffet lounge combo this time too.

 

I think The Public Delivery Track still has the observation cars on their website for pre-order.  So I'd definitely get my name in the queue rather than wait for them to hit the street -- especially for an observation car.

You're not the only one twiddling his thumbs for Atlas passenger cars.  The NYC RPO and combine cars I pre-ordered were scheduled for 3rd quarter 2014 delivery.  Need I add that I haven't seen'em yet?
