STM2 Wiring suggestions?

I use Cat 5 to operate my remote switches with an SC2, so I would say 20 or 22 would be ok just to grab a signal. You could also crimp a non-insulated terminal on the 18 wire (a fork spade) and cut one leg off it.

Use the 20. There's not really much current going through the STM wire. It's more or less sensing voltage. 

The input impedance appears to be well over 10 Megohms. So use wire as small as you're comfortable working with. The signal max voltage is 5 vdc so at 10 Megohms input, the current is about a half of a microamp.

I ended up using 20 gauge solid core wire, and it was perfect. A 500 foot roll was $18. 

The solid core worked great inserting into the command-control switches, and also fit well into the STM2. I have multiple STM2's filled now, and everything is working well. My longest runs are about 20 feet, and there have been no issues so far.

I guess.  I'd just like to see it in action with LCS and all on more than 1 test switch that we use.
