recently when changing the volume of different sounds on my dcs engine when completed the engine would not move.  I did a factory reset and the necessary programing afterwards.  Still the engine would respond to all commands but not move.  I then turned the handheld off and removed a battery, waited 20 seconds put battery back in, called engine back up and it moved as it should.  What would case this to happen.

Hi ironlake2,

It sound like at some point in the process the engine lost power and came back up in conventional mode.  When this happens you can reset the TIU, remote, engine, etc., and the engine won't move until it receives the "start-up" command or you turn off/on track power to get the DCS watchdog signal.  As big a PITA as the battery cover can be I don't think it's the cause of your problem in this case.
